Hoodie and Tee Sizing Guide 2026: Size Charts and Fit Rules

Order your usual size and you will land on a relaxed, dropped-shoulder fit. This page has the full hoodie and tee measurements in centimetres and inches, how to measure yourself in two minutes, and when to size up.

The short answer: the hoodie and sweatshirt are cut relaxed, so your usual size gives you the intended fit and one size up gives you an oversized one. Tees are true to size. If you are unsure, take your chest measurement and match it to the charts below.

Hoodie Size Chart in cm and Inches

A medium hoodie is 73 cm (28.7 in) long and measures 124 cm (48.8 in) around the chest. This chart covers our heavyweight French terry hoodies and sweatshirts, which share the same cut.

Measured laid flat, tolerance about 2 cm. Chest is the full distance around. For a flat pit-to-pit width, halve it: a medium is about 62 cm.

Tee Size Chart

A medium tee is 71 cm (28.0 in) long and measures 110 cm (43.3 in) around the chest. Our tees are heavyweight cotton with a relaxed cut, and they run narrower than the hoodie.

Hoodie vs Tee in the Same Size

Stay on the same letter: a medium hoodie and a medium tee are meant to be worn together. The hoodie is simply roomier through the body, which leaves space for a layer underneath.

How to Measure Yourself in Two Minutes

You need three numbers: chest, length and sleeve. A soft tape measure is best, but a piece of string and a ruler work just as well.

  1. Chest. Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your chest, under the arms. Keep it level and do not pull it tight. Match the number to the “Chest” column.
  2. Length. From the top of your shoulder, where it meets the neck, straight down to where you want the hem. Mid-hip is the usual spot for a hoodie.
  3. Sleeve. From the shoulder seam to your wrist, with your arm slightly bent.

Go by these numbers, not by the letter on a hoodie from another brand. A medium means different things from one label to the next, and if you have only worn slimmer cuts, a medium here may feel roomy at first. That is the cut working as intended.

Which Size Should You Order?

Match your chest to the chart, then decide how loose you want it. The table covers the four situations that come up most.

Which Sizes Are Actually in Stock?

Nearly every hoodie, sweatshirt and tee comes in S to XXL, and most also come in XS and 3XL. We checked the live catalog on 2026-10-27. The 3XL slot is labelled XXXL on some listings, and the XXXL row in the charts above is the one to use for it.

Sizing FAQ

Should I size up in a 6ix Merchandise hoodie?

Only if you want an oversized look. The hoodie is already a relaxed, dropped-shoulder cut, and a medium measures 124 cm (48.8 in) around the chest. For a regular fit, order your usual size.

What size is a medium hoodie in cm?

A medium hoodie is 73 cm long, 124 cm around the chest and 57 cm in the sleeve. Those are flat measurements with a tolerance of about 2 cm, and the full chart is above.

Do the hoodie, sweatshirt and tee use the same chart?

The hoodie and sweatshirt share one chart. The tee has its own, and it runs narrower: a medium tee is 110 cm around the chest against 124 cm for a medium hoodie.

What if I am between two sizes?

On a hoodie, pick the smaller size for a cleaner shape or the larger one for an oversized look. Both are right, it is a style choice. On a tee, go up, because tees are true to size with no stretch.

Will it shrink in the wash?

Can I swap for a different size?

The fastest route is to return the piece and place a new order in the size you need. Returns can be requested within 14 days of delivery for unworn items with tags, and the refund policy lists the exceptions.

Is XS on the chart?

No. The chart starts at S, although most pieces also list an XS in the size dropdown. If you are between XS and S, send us your chest and height and we will point you to the right one.
